Cases of diabetes are increasing fast in the country and Chhattisgarh is next to Tamil Nadu in terms of cases. Mainly due to ignorance about the disease, people are facing problems with eyes, heart, kidney and also being diagnosed with high blood pressure. According the present data, every second person is suffering from diabetes. DRS is continuing its services as free of charges tests for patients at its office and doctors counsel the patients. More than 6, 700 patients have got its membership certificate. The society demands the State Government to make a special cell dedicated to prevention and control of diabetes.
